6 hours – Stress Busters – Exploring Strategies to Minimize Stress and Burnout– Participants will examine the stress they experience working in the field of childhood care and education. We will examine the signs, symptoms and medical risks of stress and burnout. We will explore approaches, techniques, strategies and tools to reduce stress and burnout. Participants will create a stress busting plan. Set Two, Personal, Professional & Leadership Development

3 hours – Stress Busters for Children Living with Stress  – Participants will examine what causes stress in infants, toddlers, preschool and school age children. We will explore strategies to use with children and also how to teach them to recognize their stress and what they can do to calm themselves. Pending Set Two, Understanding & Guiding Behavior

3 Hours – Don’t Drink the Kool-Aid : How you can have a play based program in today’s world –It is time to stand up and educate parents and policy makers about play based developmentally appropriate childhood programs. We will look at theories around designing, implementing and critically evaluating child directed play environments. Don’t drink the Kool-Aid design your program the way you want it and become articulate and advocate on why it is appropriate for kids.
