We will examine the signs, symptoms and medical risks of stress and burnout. We will explore approaches, techniques, strategies and tools to reduce stress and burnout. Making Change Through the Legislative Process – Participants will examine issues to determine if they are widely felt and if we need to change any laws to resolve the issue(s). Participants will strategize what change should be made through the legislative process. We will discuss the legislative process at the state and national level. We will develop the legislative concept; recruit a legislator to carry our bill and how to motivate the child care community to advocate for the legislation. Exploring Strategies to Minimize Stress and Burnout and How Union Benefits Can Minimize Providers Stress and Burnout – Participants will examine the stress they experience being small business owners. We will explore techniques to reduce provider stress and burnout. Participants will explore how taking advantage of union benefits available to them can minimize stress and burnout. Participants will strategize at least two things they can implement to minimize stress in their lives. Set Two; 1 to 3 hours; CKC PPLD
