This class will examine dissociative disorders seen in children. This is a complex mental health disorder thought to be a response to early childhood trauma. There are currently 4 recognized forms of Dissociative Disorder we will discuss each of them. This class will explore mental health interventions and how to access mental health resources for the child and family if they are not already in place. We will explore partnering with families because it is critical to support a child with this disability who is being served in early childhood care settings. Â
